Major Food Services Company
This client requested that Synectics create develop an extensive Intranet Web site developed exclusively in Microsoft's FrontPage utilizing ActiveServer pages and Internet Explorer 4.0. The purpose of the site is to facilitate internal communication among different departments. It will be deployed to over 10,000 desktops. One unique characteristic of the site is the ability of the web server to automatically update itself from various data sources. The system uses a spider technology to automatically query various file systems and database for changing content.

The system utilizes Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS), the INTERDEV development tools suite, ActiveX, ActiveServer and Visual Basic for applications.

Major Retailer
This client is taking its first step into electronic commerce (E-Commerce). Synectics is working on the project to develop an E-Commerce Web site jointly with IBM and a Texas based fulfillment company. The prototype project utilizes IBM's I-Net Server product running on an RS/6000 and accessing DB2. The purpose of the Web site is to allow Internet visitors to order products on-line.

Synectics is also exclusively developing a separate Internet Firewall application utilizing NetDynamics, JAVA and Informix. This system is integrated with the E-Commerce Web site for visitor tracking and security monitoring.

Major Investment Management Firm
Over the last year, Synectics has developed and maintained both their corporate Intranet and Internet Web sites. The sites reside on a UNIX platform utilizing JAVA Script and PERL. At this time, the client is moving their sites to a new provider and plans to redevelop the Web sites for Windows/NT. The new system utilizes Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS), FrontPage97, ActiveX, ActiveServer and Visual Basic for applications.

Major Fast Food Company
Over the last six months, Synectics has made major modifications to the corporate web site. We created new areas for the company's environmental contributions and enhanced of the adults section. Our work included animated features for various marketing promotions.

Major Electronics Manufacturer
We are currently designing and developing a large Intranet Web site. The purpose of the site is to provide timely communication among various departments of the small electronics division. This Web site utilizes NetObject Fusion, JAVA and Oracle.

Banking Industry Information Provider
This system enables potential bank stock investors to analyze and evaluate selected banks' financial profiles via the World Wide Web. The Web site is fully interactive, allowing visitors to view and download various financial reports for over 100,000 banks in the country. The site also provides AD HOC query capability to select banks based on assets, loan ratio, etc.

Securities Trading Software Vendor
Synectics is developing a trade order entry and status change Web site resulting within brokerage firms accepting customer trade orders via the World Wide Web. The Web site order entry and status change functions work seamlessly with the existing trade management Windows/NT based system.

Local Real Estate Publications Firm
We developed two Web sites for this client. The first Web site contains community descriptions for over 375 communities in the Chicago area. The content of the site is based on a magazine published by the client. The second site displays the current mortgage products and rates from 26 of the top mortgage lenders in town. The mortgage product and rate information coincide with weekly newspaper advertisements in most of the local newspapers. .
