  • Conduct legal research as needed
  • Collect and interpret data, analyze regulations, contracts and advise management of all findings as needed
  • Develop Compliance procedures for admitted and surplus lines; provide support for database changes required to ensure efficiencies
  • Review internal operations and implement revised procedures to enhance compliance activities
  • Research all department of Insurance inquiries
  • Process admitted and surplus lines individual filings for states
  • Research regulatory requirements by state for any changes or additions needed for rate, rules and forms
  • Work with underwriters for new program submissions to carrier for filing
  • Communicate and work with designated carrier on a weekly basis
Skills: Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word and Excel)
  • 2-4 years related work experience in the insurance industry, preferably in the Property and Casualty and/or Accident and Health field
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, research, establish and implement procedures consistent with published guidelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle work under pressure
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with team members across different business units
  • Self-starter, organized, flexible and adaptable
  • Data analysis experience
  • SQL preferred
  • Pricing and claims experience preferred
