Interface with higher-level managers in various functions within the company to ensure that the function is anticipating and meeting internal and external needs and structured to produce effective strategies/reports.
Manage employees or contractors/vendors either directly or indirectly who are engaged in two or more areas of Business Development.
Direct the activities of resources, both internal and outside contractors/vendors, with similar technical or functional responsibilities.
Responsible for implementing operational and strategic policies and directives.
Develop functional processes for area managed.
Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs.
Ensure timely closure of business cases including ROI/CFROI assessment of the projects
Work independently to close deals.
Support local M&A activities where applicable
Number of successfully closed deals especially in branded, biosimilars or branded Generics space
Active participation and influence on key deal terms and structure
High quality delivery and timely submission of deal case presentations
Clarity of recommendations on go / no go decisions
Strong academic background, scientific background a plus
