Description: Job Description
  • Interview bio-specimen management SMEs to understand current process and technology state.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with technical lead and IT Business Partner to define a future state
  • Work with IT Business Partner (ITBP), Domain Capability Manager (DCM), and newly formed Biospecimen Management group to complete Enterprise Analysis in support of project justification and planning.
  • Interview biospecimen management SME’s to understand current process and technology state.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with technical lead and IT Business Partner to define a future state.
  • Capture detailed requirements & use cases arranged by common needs across domains.
  • Contribute to development of business plan for full implementation.
  • Work with ITBP and DCM to estimate implementation costs.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify qualitative improvements and calculate quantitative benefits of implementing proposed system.
  • Contribute to Project planning activities.
Skills: Qualifications
  • At least 5+years of prior experience working as a dedicated business analyst on large and/or complex projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Experience in Bio specimen management or clinical sample management 2-3 years.
  • Proficiency in business requirement illicitation from scientific stakeholders.
  • Creating “as is” and “to be” process flows.
  • Creating current state data flows.
  • Creating system overviews.
  • Outgoing personality; self-starter able to work interactively and independently with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Biospecimen management, clinical sample management, clinical trial process.
  • Experience in a business analyst capacity on a large scale COTS project, a bespoke development project, and/or combination of both (impacting 100+ Users across multiple domains).
  • Proficiency in business requirement illicitation from scientific stakeholders.
  • Experience with formal SDLC practices, emphasis on Analysis and Design stages.
  • Proven ability in gathering, tracing, and managing complex requirements, business rules, and data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation.
