Oversight Surveillance Inspections in inside and outside plant construction to ensure that the Civil and Electrical activities construction are in conformance's to specifications, standards and company policies and that the Contractors are performing their services in compliance to contractual requirements and meeting expectations.
Field assessments for procedures and company policies compliance.
Perform Welding inspection and review and and approve of Contractor’s Welding procedures and Welder Qualification Records and any other procedures including Quality Plans.
Review Civil (Concrete) batch results prior to installation of any equipment or structure on the foundation or Base.
Inspect electrical and structural connections for proper tightening of Nuts and Bolts as well as field touch up painting for field drilling.
Review Mandrel inspection of underground duct banks results.
Review Contractor’s Quality Control records and checklists that include Material receipt and its receiving inspection records.
Ensure that the Project is performing Material Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintaining its records for those Materials that require PMs Prior to its installations and or during its storage.
Perform field Self-Assessments to evaluate the implementation, adequacy and effectiveness of Project and Construction Project Management Procedures (PMPs) by project team and the Contractors covering health, safety and environmental (HSE), Material Management and Construction Oversight.
High School or Equivalent or Technical training's.
QA/QC background in construction needed with structural substation experience
5-10 year’s quality assurance and quality control experience primarily in construction working on moderate to large construction projects.
Able to interpret construction drawings, specifications and Material test results.
Must have hands on Construction field experience in any discipline and capacity related to civil and or electrical construction, installations including start-up and close of Construction projects punch list.
Must have excellent written, oral communications skills and and PC literate.

Formal Auditor Training
Formal ISO 9001 Quality Management System Training.
Working knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulations (ISO 9001, ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ASNT, ASTM). AWS and NDE certifications are desirable.
Inspecting welds is a plus
Working Experience in utility (Transmission and Delivery Engineering and Construction Projects)
