  • Maintains sufficient inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment in the laboratory for planned activities.
  • Ensures the laboratory equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and kept in an orderly manner.
  • Manages and maintains sample inventory.
  • Establishes relationships with external vendors including equipment manufacturers and service contract companies to ensure timely maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
  • Act as the laboratory safety officer and participate in healthy and safety audits.
  • Organize shipments of clinical and non-clinical material.
  • Receive and cryopreserve in-process clinical samples.
  • Plan and manage orders by coordinating with vendors, warehouse and other relevant parties.
  • Support a recent Operational Excellence project related to our cryopreservation inventory and sample management program.
  • Will work under the supervision of an Associate Scientist to organize and inventory current cryopreserved samples/materials for the Technical Development department working on innovative cell therapies.
  • Contribute to additional laboratory operations, depending on needs and capabilities.
  • Works with supervisor to identify and transport samples to designated spots within the laboratory,
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of clinical and non clinical samples
  • Assists with tasks related to sample management
  • Ensures that the laboratory equipment is cleaned/sanitized and kept in an orderly manner,
  • Performs other laboratory maintenance tasks.
Skills: Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree Required: Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Previous experience working in a development or clinical laboratory environment (> 2 years experience preferred)
  • Experience with compressed gas cylinders and cryogenic liquid dewars
  • Inventory and sample management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervisor oversight
  • Competent in collaboration and communication
  • Ability to maintain accurate records including sample management/inventory
  • Willingness to learn and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • English (Speak, Read, Write )
